The first, and most powerful mutant Apocalypse aka En Sabah Nur (Oscar Isaac of Inside Llewyn Davis and Star Wars: The Force Awakens fame) has awoken from several millennium of sleep. He awakens in the 1980s, and is repulsed and disillusioned with the world so he recruits a team of mutants — namely Psylocke (Newsroom’s Olivia Munn) and Magneto ( Michael Fassbender) — to cleanse the world and create a new world order. It’s up to Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and a team of young X-Men. Mutants to be appearing in this film include: Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Jubilee (Lana Condor), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) and others.
X-Men: Apocalypse, helmed by original X-Men director Brian Singer, will be released Memorial Day Weekend — May 27, 2016.
