Earlier today, USA Network announced a pilot pick up for the crime drama comic, Brooklyn Animal Control. The pilot will be written by JT Petty (Splinter Cell) and directed by David S. Goyer (Batman v Superman.) The comic adaptation is a co-production by IDW Entertainment and Universal Cable Productions.
Brooklyn Animal Control was originally a comic series published by IDW Publishing and created by JT Petty. The family drama follows the inner workings of a secret NYPD subdivision who acts as social services for werewolves. USA Network’s Executive Vice President of Original Programming, Jackie de Crinis explains, “fans of the comic book know that Brooklyn Animal Control is a thriller anchored inside the world of New York organized crime families. At it’s core, it is a family drama, albeit an unconventional one.”
